Quantum River launches QCP early access
Quantum Cryptographic Primitive (QCP) is now available for select partners. Verifiable quantum entropy delivered via REST API, on-chain feeds, and standards-based integrations (PKCS#11, KMIP) for regulated enterprise environments.
Quantum River is opening early access to QCP — our Quantum Cryptographic Primitive — a verifiable quantum entropy service purpose-built for security-critical cryptographic systems.
QCP delivers attested entropy through the interfaces each customer segment actually uses:
- REST API and SDKs for application developers and web2 integrations
- On-chain entropy feeds for blockchain protocols and smart contracts
- Standards-based integrations (PKCS#11, KMIP) for regulated enterprise and critical infrastructure environments
Why QCP, and why now
Every cryptographic algorithm ultimately depends on randomness. The algorithm determines what math an attacker must break. The randomness determines whether that math is actually hard. When randomness fails, the algorithm fails with it — regardless of how strong the algorithm is on paper.
NIST finalized its post-quantum standards in 2024. Those algorithms resist Shor's algorithm. They do not resist weak entropy. The entropy layer of the cryptographic stack is about to become the most exposed surface in the transition to quantum-safe systems.
What's in early access
- Production QRNG API on
api.quantumriver.io - On-chain verifiable randomness (QVRF), with mainnet deployments in progress
- Continuous device self-testing with on-chain attestation of entropy provenance
- Dedicated devices optional for enterprise clients
